NovaStar Support · A Few Kind Words

A very nice letter from a Telematics client :)

We received this from a client who reached out to us for some (very) after-sales service.

While Telematics answered the call and coordinated the delivery of a new Taurus media player, the constructive assistance came from the extraordinary tech support at NovaStar.

Our company purchased a building that had a pre-existing NovaStar product (LED billboard and a Taurus controller) installed on the property. The previous owner did not provide us with much in the way of instructions or paperwork and sure enough, within a short time the billboard stopped working.

In looking for someone that could help us we found Telematics Canada via a Google search. We took a chance and sent a message to them despite them being in BC and us in Ontario. Michael Wolf responded quickly and with his guidance it only took a day or two to discover the problem.

A new controller was purchased and shipped out quickly. Once installed we then found out that without a backup of the original configuration files, we would need to do some backend configuring of the billboard controller to make it all work properly.

This type of programming was beyond our level of skill but Michael was able to offer a technician at no charge.

Within a few days we were able to connect with a technician (Neil) who working remotely through our laptop was able to make the changes necessary to get the billboard up and running. Despite numerous challenges with dropped internet in our location and lack of knowledge on our end to assist him Neil was patient and persistent for almost 2 hours until everything was working. All this despite our only investment with their company being a small controller.

If this is the level of support they provide to a company that has done next to no business with them I would not hesitate to contact them in the future if a larger project comes up knowing that they will support us.

Thanks Michael and Neil for your help!
